UAE President visits Ministry of Defence to assess Armed Forces preparedness
Briefings highlight operational readiness amid escalating regional tensions
DUBAI – His Highness Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, Ruler of Abu Dhabi, and Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, visited the UAE Ministry of Defence as part of his ongoing follow-up on defence and military developments.
During the visit, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed reviewed the latest updates related to defence affairs and the efforts being undertaken to enhance operational readiness and preparedness across the armed forces.

The visit formed part of the leadership’s continuous monitoring of national security priorities and the ability of defence institutions to respond effectively to evolving challenges.
Defence preparedness
Senior officials briefed His Highness Sheikh Mohamed on the readiness of the UAE Armed Forces and their capabilities in addressing emerging threats. The discussions also focused on current developments in the wider region and the implications of the ongoing military escalation for regional security and stability.
The briefings highlighted the preparedness of the armed forces and the systems in place to ensure rapid response and effective coordination when dealing with a range of security scenarios.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed was accompanied during the visit by His Highness Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence.
Also present were Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in the Al Ain Region, and Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs.
The delegation also included Mohamed Mubarak Fadhel Al Mazrouei, Minister of State for Defence Affairs; Ibrahim Nasser Al Alawi, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Defence; and Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Military Affairs Adviser to the UAE President.
Strategic briefings
Among those attending were Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority, and Faisal Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Bannai, Adviser to the UAE President for Strategic Research and Advanced Technology Affairs.
A number of senior officers from the Ministry of Defence were also present during the visit, which included discussions on strategic preparedness, military capabilities and the evolving security environment in the region. The briefings reviewed key operational updates and ongoing efforts aimed at strengthening the readiness of the armed forces in the face of emerging challenges.
